Reason:

A slave reparations group in the United States sued the CSX Corporation, because its predecessor companies used slave labour to build rail lines.

Summary:

CSX Transportation Corporation issued a press statement in response to a $1.4 trillion (USD) lawsuit against CSX and seven other companies involved in the slave trade in the United States. The statement expressed sorrow over the history of slavery and the effect of that history on the United States, but also describes the steps CSX has taken toward racial equality and the elimination of workplace discrimination. In addition, the statement argues against the use of courts to address historical wrongdoing.
